Created ICUs at AIIMS Delhi in 1974, Tata Main Hospital Mumbai in 1980, Apollo Hospital Bhubaneswar in 2010 and Sum Ultimate Medicare in 2020.
Conferred with Distinguished Mentor Award at Ganga Anesthesia Refresher Course (GARC) in 2022 and ISCCM President's Citation Awards in 2021 & 2023.

Started career as Anesthesiologist and Intensivist in 1980, headed department of Anesthesia & Critical Care in a multi-disciplinary Tertiary Care Centre.
Remained a part of ISCCM as a life member, chairperson of Jamshedpur branch of ISCCM, contributed as reviewer for IJCCM, editorial board member, Secretary nursing section ISCCM, and examiner for IDCCM.
Received Adjunct Professor' s honorary designation from National Board of Examination in 2018.
Instrumental in initiating IDCCM, FNB, DNB critical care in 2 tertiary care institutions and guided many students.
